Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 13, 2026
1. Introduction
When Did I Last? is designed with your privacy as a primary feature. Our goal is to provide a simple, effective tool for tracking your activities while keeping your data strictly in your control.
2. Data Collection and Storage
We believe that your data belongs to you. Here is how we handle it:
- Offline Storage: All task data, completion history, and personal notes are stored locally on your device. We do not use remote servers to host your activity data.
- No User Accounts: You are not required to create an account or provide an email address to use the app.
- Photos: If you use the Premium feature to attach photos to task completions, these images are stored in your device's internal storage and are never uploaded to our servers.
3. Third-Party Services
To support the app and provide specific features, we use a limited number of trusted third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics: We use Google Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which screens are visited, how many tasks are created) to help us improve the app. This data does not contain any personal information or the content of your tasks.
- Firebase Crashlytics: In the event of an app crash, we receive a technical report to help us fix the bug. These reports are anonymous.
- Google AdMob: For free users, we display ads. AdMob may use device identifiers to show relevant content. You can opt-out of personalized ads in your Android device settings.
- Google Play Billing: All financial transactions are handled securely through the Google Play Store. We never see or store your credit card information.
4. Permissions
The app requests the following permissions only when necessary:
- Camera: To take photos for task completions (Premium only).
- Notifications: To send you reminders for your recurring tasks.
- Calendar: To optionally sync your tasks with your device's calendar.
5. Your Rights
Since all your data is stored locally, you have full control over it. You can delete individual tasks, clear your entire history, or uninstall the app to remove all data instantly.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
Policy Update Frequency: As needed (typically upon major feature releases or changes in legal requirements).
